I had my first experience with being on a jury today. There was a lot of waiting around and a lot of time to sketch. I did less sketching and more waiting around that I would have liked.

What a great use of that waiting around time! The distance between the two figures is exactly what you see with two strangers in a setting like that—very well observed!

Thanks Laura. I really appreciate your kind words. There was a part of me that was actually looking forward to my jury duty day simply because it would give me a good opportunity to people watch and to draw on location — which I don’t get to do often enough.
