We took the Mr. Mr. Grey to the beach yesterday in Rehobeth, DE. This was his second trip to see the mighty Atlantic Ocean in his short three months. His first trip was to Charleston, SC. Being only three months old, Mr Mr. Grey did not fully appreciate the experience. Grandpa took this shot of TKD and Me with the boy on the boardwalk in Rehobeth. It was about 50 degrees Fahrenheit, but with the wind it was pretty dang cold.
Other highlights of the trip included lunch at the Dogfishhead Brew Pub and a sidebar trip to Lewes, DE. I’ve been a fan of the DFH brews for quite some time. Yesterday they had a beer called Therabroma which was flavored with Coffee and Chilies. Surprisingly it was golden in color. At 10% it packed a punch for sure.
Lewes is a great little town that is somewhat off the beaten path. The great thing about Lewes is that its at the Beach but not on the beach, so it doesn’t get as Jam packed as Rehobeth. About a year ago, TKD and I took a weekend trip to Lewes and had a great time enjoying the local food spots, which include a great little pizza and wine bar called Half Full.
We made a stop in at Half Full and had a fabulous pizza with Asparagus, Serrano Ham, Roasted Tomato Sauce and Goat Cheese. I’d highly recommend hitting this little joint if you are in Lewes.
Mr. Grey traveled like a champ again! He slept nearly the whole way to the Beach and back. He seems to know he’s got travel in his blood, which is good cause Mom and Dad like to go lots of places. If things go right, Mr. Grey will be an International traveler by the end of the summer when we hope to go to my cousin’s wedding in France.
