In the Zone

Effortless. That’s how it feels when you’re in the zone. Your cadence becomes your tempo and you have no idea that you’re actually cycling, actually burning calories, actually working out.

This is why I ride — For days like today, when the rhythm of the peddle strokes transports me out of my current reality and into a place where I don’t need to answer the phone — a place where my thoughts drift from IP networks and to an open stretch of road in front of me — a place where I feel freed from my everyday life.

Man, you must have some good bike shorts or bib. My feelings these days in the zone or not include some other sensations. But still early in the year!
