Is this what a mid-life crisis feels like?
I’ve been obsessed with things that I’d like to do, but haven’t lately. Yesterday at lunch all I could talk about was all the four wheel drive vehicles that I’d like to own. In no particular order they are:
- Jeep Grand Wagoneer – Blue with Wood Sides
- Jeep CJ8 Scrambler – Red
- Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 (old skool)
- Land Rover Defender
None of these would be practical for the daily car, but they sure would be fun to drive – particularly on the beach for a day of surf fishing.

Statistically speaking, I am. Actually, I’m right at the mid point.
How about an International Scout convertible with a roll-bar? Sounds more like escape to the outdoors than mid-life anything, which I understand completely.
Someone named Schmiddy Wizzbang once told me that the International Scout was off limits on account of his own wishes to have one…otherwise it would be on the list…
