Break in the Heat

It’s been hot, really hot (96 degrees yesterday) and humid, over the past week.  Last night we got some good steady rain.  I put some mail out around 9:30 and it was 71 degrees.   I opened the windows and turned off the AC.  Fell asleep listening to the rain.

Mr. Grey woke up at 5:15, and it there was a cool breeze blowing in from the window above my head.  It felt great.  I didn’t actually check the temp until around 7, but it was 66 degrees at that point.  Fabulous.

I drove to my QoS class, with the windows down and the sunroof open, listening to the Beach Boys.  You know you need a vacation when you are listening to the Beach Boys.
